Overview

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Personal Trainer to join our team at Alpine High Performance to commence work in June until the conclusion of the 2023 winter season (mid-September → beginning of October). With an extensive clientele base, we have a large number of hours and potential high remuneration available as well as fitness classes. At Alpine High Performance we are driven to provide the Mount Buller community with exceptional facilities that cater to everyone from casual visitors to Winter Olympic athletes.

Position Description:

• We are interested in staff having had 2 years of Personal Training Experience. This is ideal but not essential.
• Passionate to work with clients who have active lifestyles as well as athletes in all different high-performance sports.
• Hard-working, passionate team player.
• You enjoy a challenge and strive to better your clients and yourself every day.
• Keen interest in sports and injury rehabilitation and wellness.
• Experience but not essential in running small-group exercise classes
• You have full Australian working rights
• Ability to time manage and arrange personal training sessions and clientele independently outside of other duties

Skills and Experience:

• Have personal accreditations and registrations to work in Australia
• Have professional indemnity insurance, or sufficient insurance with any other reputable Australian personal training body
• Ability to undertake a Police check (to be conducted prior to employment)
• Ambulance insurance (in case of an accident out on slopes, no ambulance cover can mean a $15,000 helicopter fee)

The Alpine High-Performance Centre is Australia’s peak high-performance gymnasium. We operate within the Mount Buller Alpine resort. We have hundreds of gym members who attend our facility and look to continue their active lifestyles in addition to snow sports-related activities in winter and hiking and mountain biking-related activities in summer. We are regularly advancing our facility and our equipment to ensure we are up to current fitness standards.

We have a strong association and relationship with the Olympic Winter Institute of Australia (OWIA). We work with OWIA to ensure that our Winter Olympians are able to train in our facility in a way that suits their training program and assists them during their Olympic cycle and perform at their best at the Winter Olympics.
