AUTOCAD Draftsperson - Junior - TAFE Students Preferred null

As a result of our growth, we are looking for a sharp, ambitious individual who knows AUTOCAD and is keen to learn about Lighting Design. As a member of our supportive and friendly team you will be an integral part of our client experience journey. In order to do this role, you will need to have a sound understanding of the workings of AUTOCAD. You will not be expected to know about lighting, this will be taught on the job, but you must be keen to learn in order to support our clients to achieve their vision. Communication is strongly encouraged as we know that a cohesive workplace is critical to ensuring we deliver the best outcomes for our clients and personal job satisfaction.

Some of these responsibilities include:

• An initial comprehensive review of concept designs received by Ark Lighting, utilising your interior design knowledge;
• Apply your design knowledge to identify the appropriate options for the placement and use of specific and unique lights fittings to complement the size, functionality and aesthetics of the space;
• Always maintaining an awareness of the objectives and constraints of the client’s needs when identifying lighting options;
• Create a unique lighting plan using your sound working knowledge of AutoCAD and Dialux software programs to meet the client’s needs;
• Complete up to date J6 documentation to prove your design complies with the Building Code of Australia (BCA) Standards for contractor authorisation;
• Ongoing assistance with negotiating lighting design solutions with a positive and measured approach to ensure Ark Lighting maximises client satisfaction;
• Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships;
• Consistent and open communication with the Ark Lighting team to co-ordinate sales efforts;

After 6 months there will be opportunity to mix between working from home and working from the office.
