Are you passionate about preserving heritage and creating breath taking works of art through stained glass craftsmanship? If so, we're looking for a Glazier, eager to learn a specialist trade to join our team!

Based in Malvern, Armadale Doors & Leadlight specialize in the restoration and creation of stunning leadlight stained glass windows. As a leader in the industry, we are dedicated to preserving the timeless tradition of stained glass while also exploring innovative techniques such as triple glazing.

Position Overview

As our resident glazier you will be responsible for the removal of old leadlight windows, glazing new joinery doors & windows, triple glazing restored or new leadlight panels & learning the art of leadlight manufacture from our leadlighters who have 40 years experience. We will provide training to the successful candidate.

Responsibilities:

• Work with a variety of materials, including coloured glass, lead and solder to assemble leadlight panels. (training provided)
• Cut glass (training provided)
• Remove & install leadlight panels in residential and commercial properties around Melbourne.
• Cement, polish & clean finished Leadlight panels. (training provided)
• Triple glazing leadlight panels (training provided)
• Glazing of custom joinery doors & windows
• Ensure high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail in all projects.
• Adhere to safety protocols and best practices for working with glass and lead.

Requirements:

• Certificate III in Glass & Glazing
• White Card
• Current Drivers licence
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Available 7am – 4pm Monday – Friday
