Boutique AV is owned and administered by ROR Group Pty Ltd, which also operates other technology, software, and media companies, all of which provide valuable resources to Boutique AV in order to secure and deliver projects in a way no other business can within the industry.

The Opportunity

• You will be trained in the setup, configuration, and programming of various IT, Audio Visual, and Automation systems, allowing you to become an integral part of our project delivery and service team.
• Part of this role would also be to help support the general internal IT requirements of the group, alongside others and with the support of a 3rd party IT company.
• This role provides an opportunity to work with some of the most exciting technologies on the market, from Smart-Homes, Home Cinemas, colourful LED Lighting, and Special Effects, to in-house technologies such as 3D Render farms, Robotics, and high-end enterprise grade networking and servers.
• You will also get to work on some of the most amazing homes and buildings in Australia, for example, we provide the technology for Rolls Royce, Lamborghini, McLaren, and Aston Martin showrooms along with some of the largest and most opulent homes in existence.
• As such we require someone who has an eye for detail, is organised in their approach and workflow and is willing to occasionally work late with the team to put the final touches on a proposal.

About You

• We are looking for someone who is passionate about technology and learning. You should already have some education and experience in networking and general IT. Experience with AV or Automation systems is a bonus, but we are willing to train you if you don’t.
• You should have an eye for detail, and take pride in your work. We rather people that think things through and try to get it right the first time than those who rush and take little care. You should have the ambition to have a successful career in the technology field. We like to help our team upskill so we can promote from within. This is a large group of companies so there are many options in the future for career growth. You could one day find yourself in the role of a CTO!

Duties will include (but not be limited to)

• Continuous learning of Audio Visual, Automation, and IT systems used by the group
• Configuration of equipment and systems
• Programming of equipment and systems
• Installation and cabling of equipment racks
• Assisting with equipment installations
• Troubleshooting and servicing existing projects
• Assisting with system design
• Performing onsite audits of equipment or infrastructure
• Cable termination and testing
• Keeping your workspace clean and tidy
• Generally helping with the team where required
• Occasional interstate or international work

Skills & Experience

• Completion and certification in a Networking course
• Basic experience installing and configuring network hardware
• Demonstrated passion for learning technology
• Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain accurate documentation
• Excellent lateral thinking skills with the ability to work autonomously
• Proficient with PC and Apple and Android devices
• Current Drivers Licence
