Your role

The Clinical Support Nurse (undergraduate) is an advanced clinical nurse who stimulates enquiry, reflection and the use of evidence in clinical practice to facilitate quality clinical placement for undergraduate nursing and midwifery students. The role will assist preceptors and clinical staff to provide undergraduate nursing and midwifery students with clinical placement learning opportunities that foster the development of knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary for practice as a novice nurse/midwife.

The position will act as a professional role model for students and is responsible for maintaining positive relationships with the Clinical Preceptors, Clinical Educator (Undergraduate) and higher education providers to enhance the learning experience.

Cabrini Health is seeking up to full-time availability and ideally no less than 3 days per week availability.

About you

Along with your passion for nursing and providing mentoring, you will need to meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor of Nursing qualifications
  • Registered Nurse with AHPRA
  • Victorian Working with Children Check
  • Current TAE40116 - Certificate IV Training and Assessment (or equivalent, or working towards)
  • Current unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with NMBA
  • Demonstrated advanced acute nursing experience and ability to practice in accordance with legislation, policies and procedures affecting nursing practice
  • Demonstrated experience in the facilitation of clinical learning
  • Ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Preceptorship experience including provision of performance feedback and remediation processes.
