This includes installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment, such as wiring, lighting, and motors.
Specifically, an electrical apprentice may be responsible for tasks such as:
- Assisting with the installation and maintenance of electrical systems, such as power distribution and lighting systems.
- Learning how to interpret technical drawings and diagrams related to electrical systems.
- Assisting with the testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems to identify and resolve any issues.
- Learning how to use electrical tools and equipment, such as multimeters, wire strippers, and conduit benders.
- Helping to ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with safety regulations and standards.
Throughout their apprenticeship, electrical apprentices will work closely with experienced electricians to develop their skills and knowledge in the trade.
