General Maintenance Officer - TAFE Students Preferred null

Fintona Girls’ School has an exciting opportunity for a skilled handy-person to join our Maintenance Team. This role offers variety through a range of tasks that include the maintenance of the School’s gardens, historical and new buildings, and also supporting day-to-day operations.

Fintona Girls’ School is seeking a person who will be responsible for all general maintenance including:

• Basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, plastering, and painting tasks
• General repairs
• Set up and pack up for school events
• School deliveries
• Assisting with grounds maintenance

This is a part-time, ongoing opportunity to work 4 days per week and is available immediately.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in maintenance is required
• A trade qualification and experience in a similar role in a school environment are highly regarded
• Clear communication skills and a flexible, courteous, friendly, and helpful approach to staff, students, and parents alike are essential
