Position Description

Firbank Grammar School is seeking a passionate ELC Co-educator to work in the Early Learning Centre at our Sandringham House Junior Campus. We want you to be someone who shares our passion for providing the best possible care and high-quality learning support for children aged between 3-4 years old. We aim to create a nurturing environment that gives our children the mechanisms to learn and develop their young minds at such a crucial stage in their lives. 

Key Responsibilities:

Your role within the ELC will be to assist in the preparation, implementation, and evaluation of a developmentally appropriate program for individual children or groups. You will work well in a collaborative environment and be able to communicate effectively with children, providing a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. Other duties and tasks may include: 

  • Assist with the provision of learning equipment and materials 
  • Help in the day-to-day running of the program
  • Arrange suitable displays and documentation of children's work
  • Help in supervising children at all times
  • Identify and address child safety risks

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Diploma of Children's Services (or working towards)
  • Current WWCC 
  • First Aid Certificate 
  • Be an exceptional team player
  • Great communicator, with exceptional listening skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills

  • This is a casual role commencing immediately. 
  • Hours are likely to fall between 2 pm - 5 pm, Monday to Friday.
