What does being a Graduate mean for you?

Outside of the technical development, you’ll gain working within your team, you’ll also join GHD’s two-year Graduate Development Program. The Graduate Program will connect you with peers across Australia, New Zealand, the broader Asia Pacific region and the Middle East.   

We offer optional rotations in the second year of your program to help explore your career pathway, a structured approach to promotions and salary reviews over your first two years and a culture that is friendly, inclusive and not built on hierarchy.

GHD, in partnership with The Forage, a global provider of job simulations, have developed a self-paced Virtual Internship where you’ll start to explore what a career in our Engineering teams looks like.  You’ll hear from one of the Leaders in our Rail team who’ll outline some of the topics we cover, as well as talk you through a bit more of what we do in GHD. 

The Virtual Internship should only take you 3-4 hours to complete   We’re not asking you to undertake complex calculations, but rather understand some of the challenges we work with on a day-to-day basis.

We are looking for Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering final-year students to join our Graduate Program in 2025. These roles are specifically for the Water, Transport and Resources & Materials Engineering teams in Perth.

Water:

In Western Australia, our 90-year partnership with the water sector has cultivated strong client relationships and a deep understanding of their challenges, equipping us to assist them in preparing for what lies ahead. Our team is very well known for water infrastructure and water resources engineering and science consulting, collaborating with industry leaders like Water Authorities, major mining firms, and Defense, among others. Transport:

Our WA Transport team offers comprehensive expertise in planning, engineering design, and construction services, guiding clients through the entire project lifecycle, from feasibility studies to operations and maintenance. We have contributed to iconic projects like Gateway WA, Forrestfield Airport Link, Western Sydney Airport, and other landmark initiatives across WA, nationally and overseas, with the opportunity to advance your career within the global GHD community while benefiting from our adaptable and flexible work environment.

Resources and Materials:

Resource and Materials Engineering WA is a leading multi-disciplinary Resource Engineering group in Perth, known for its dynamic projects in the Mining and Energy sectors, made possible by GHD's diversity and strategic Tier 1 client relationships. This represents an opportunity to engage in projects spanning Process and NPI across a wide range of commodities like iron ore, gold, lithium, and bauxite, as well as Future Energy and Renewables endeavours like wind, solar, hydrogen, and power transmission.

What does the rest of GHD’s process look like?

Once we receive your application, it will be reviewed by one of our Talent Acquisition team members who manage each of our regions. If your application is shortlisted, we will get in touch with you for a Video Interview, where you’ll get the chance to introduce yourself and make another positive impression on both our TA team and hiring managers.

If you’re successful at our Video Interview stage and are invited for an interview, our team will contact you via email, text or phone to get that scheduled.  Interviews will either be face-to-face in our office, or via MS Teams if virtual.  Before our interview, we’ll also ask you to go through some online testing through one of our providers, Saville.

If the interview goes well, we’ll be in contact to discuss an offer, where we’ll go through salary, start date and background checks.
