Job Description:

  • Assist in Garden Maintenance:
    • Support the maintenance crew in daily garden care activities, including mowing, pruning, weeding, and fertilising.
  • Plant Care and Cultivation:
    • Learn and participate in planting, watering, and nurturing a variety of plants and flowers as directed by senior gardeners.
  • Equipment Handling:
    • Operate and maintain gardening tools and equipment under supervision, ensuring they are used safely and efficiently.
  • Landscape Construction Support:
    • Assist in the preparation and implementation of small-scale landscape construction projects as part of the learning process.
  • Pest and Disease Management:
    • Learn to identify common garden pests and diseases, and assist in implementing control measures to maintain plant health.
  • Groundskeeping:
    • Participate in the general upkeep of commercial properties, including cleaning pathways, removing debris, and ensuring a tidy and professional appearance.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Learning and Development:
    • Engage in ongoing training and professional development opportunities provided by Living Landscapes to enhance gardening skills and knowledge.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the maintenance crew and other staff members to complete projects and maintain high standards of workmanship.
  • Customer Interaction:
    • Occasionally interact with clients and property owners, responding to inquiries and providing assistance as needed.
