About the role

The Food Services team within Monash Health delivers outstanding customer service when providing meals to our patients, 7 days a week. Working as part of this team, the main focus for the Food Services Assistant will be to prepare and provide meals.

The ideal candidate will hold a food certificate (minimum certificate is SITXFSA001 - Use hygienic practices for food safety), is keen to develop their food knowledge and skill, and have an interest in working in health services.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to

• Cleaning within a food services environment ensures food safety compliance
• Delivering and distributing meal trays to and from patients
• Preparing patient menu items in accordance with meal production requirements
• Accurately assembling tray supplies and food on the tray line
• Cleaning kitchen and equipment
• Delivering, distributing and collecting all meal requirements
• Stripping, sorting, sanitising and cleaning all trays, cutlery and utensils
