Position Description

Optics Central is looking for a casual part-time Bookkeeper who has experience working with several small businesses and can work on-site from their Mitcham office.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately and promptly performing reconciliation
• Assisting Management with month-end processes, including monthly journals, month-end reports, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Answer incoming phone calls, including note-taking for sales calls, in a professional and courteous manner when the sales staff is occupied with customers
• Assisting with refund processes as required

General admin duties:

• The correct candidate will exhibit strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently and with others, and experience with various bookkeeping practices.
• The working hours are flexible but the ideal candidate would be able to work 10 am – 2 pm, 4 hours a day, 5 days a week.
• Adjustments to work hours during and outside school periods are negotiable.
