Your role

The Patient Experience Partner role focuses on patient experience by understanding the needs of patients in ANZ to achieve a better state of care, engaging directly with patients and patient advocacy organisations to generate insights and help improve the patient journey experience.  Additionally, this role will be the face of the patient support programs and aim to work with patients to facilitate and co-create educational and awareness materials or support tools and services across Pfizer’s therapeutic areas.

How will you achieve it?

  • Understand the patient journey and collect insights (xTA or TA specific) to identify hurdles and opportunities for partnerships to enhance the patient experience 
  • Build solutions and initiatives tailored to the patient journey needs
  • Leverage technology to enable a better patient experience
  • Operationalize implementation of the programs, initiatives, internal process, ongoing oversight, or follow-up
  • Ensure close communication and partnership with key internal relevant colleagues: Medical, Marketing, Strategic Healthcare Partner, Patient Advocacy Lead, Market Access
  • Build affordability programs and solutions with internal collaboration and support initiatives deployment
  • Responsible for unbranded Disease Awareness communications
  • Collaborate on unbranded material for patients 
  • Act as an internal advocate for patients, patient centricity, and participation in the Patient Ambassadors Network
  • Identify areas of unmet need and inequity where Pfizer could assist
  • Identify areas of improvement for timely and accurate diagnosis 
  • Identify areas to assist patients with the navigation of the system
  • Facilitate digital ad boards​ with patients
  • Facilitate Usability testing for patients – websites/apps​
  • Builds effective relationships with patient groups

About you

Here's what Pfizer is looking for in this role:

Qualifications

  • Base degree in Science, Business, or equivalent. An advanced degree is a plus.  
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives and partnerships with external stakeholders and with cross-functional colleagues in a complex matrix structure.  
  • Experience in managing multi-dimensional and long-term relationships with patient, community, and provider organisations is required.
  • Must have an established track record of coalition building in complex environments.  
  • Must have a superior ability to accomplish company goals in a matrix environment.
  • Must be comfortable with change and dealing with ambiguity 
  • Sound knowledge of and proven support of Pfizer Policies and Procedures, Compliance requirements as well as the Medicines Australia Code
  • Valid Driver's Licence

Must-Have

  • Strong communication (written and verbal), influencing, negotiating, listening, and interpersonal skills to effectively develop/maintain productive internal and external relationships
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and partnering skills
  • Ability to understand and influence in a highly matrixed environment
  • Demonstrated strategic business planning abilities and superior customer management skills

Nice-to-Have

  • Advanced Degree a plus
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role within the Pharmaceutical Industry will be a plus
