Your role

As the Strategic Health Partner, you will take a holistic view of partnership with the prioritised healthcare institutions / systems throughout Australia to collaborate on initiatives that will meet the healthcare needs of the patients served by the institutions / systems and enable the availability of Pfizer medicines through commercial discussions / agreements and education / in-services. 

Here are some key aspects of your role.

  • Identify key Customers, including decision-making / influencing network. Understand Key institutions' needs, challenges and priorities for Pfizer Medications / Vaccines
  • Liaises with Public Health Units, Primary Health Networks, Local Councils and hospitals to
    • Develop education programs on disease state awareness and vaccination
    • Support their role with the programs such as schools’ vaccination program
    • Emphasis on Indigenous Health issues in line with the Pfizer Reconciliation Action Plan
  • Responsible for identifying areas of joint interest that support a legitimate unmet patient need
  • Direct interaction with hospital and GP clinics regarding the provision of Pfizer medication-specific education and support required by patients
  • Support the procurement process/availability of medicines per existing commercial agreements
  • Provides direct access to subject matter expertise for HCPs, PHNs, PHUs and Patients regarding “All I need to know about my medicine” for specialised medication-specific support, that can go directly to the customer
  • Central point of contact and SME on medicines and treatment journey, access/out-of-pocket costs, treatment initiation process, ongoing management and adherence issues
  • By partnering with needed Pfizer cross-functional teams, the SHP leads the development of a strategic and holistic plan for the institution and the co-creation of innovative solutions to meet the key institutions’ healthcare priorities in those areas of joint interest supporting a legitimate unmet patient need
  • Direct line of communication to HCPs regarding patient insights for optimal patient selection and treatment (future opportunities and risks)
  • Provide in-services to HCPs within hospitals and clinics for launch brands
  • Ensure customer support by engaging with customers through both in-person and virtual interactions
  • Demonstrate commitment to all Pfizer Policies, Procedures, Compliance requirements

About you

Your Qualifications & Must Haves:

  • A Tertiary Degree in Science, Business or equivalent with solid knowledge of the industry preferred
  • Demonstrated business acumen with experience working strategically with stakeholders to co-create solutions
  • Curiosity and an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Analytical skills to identify the connections between data, products and the needs of the stakeholder business
  • Communication skills to influence and coordinate solutions in a cross-functional team
  • Solid understanding of the digital space and a willingness to keep learning and upskilling
  • Agility, adaptability to change and seasoned negotiation skills
  • Able to connect with customers across Australia virtually and in person
  • A can-do attitude and a work ethic underpinned by determination and commitment
  • Sound knowledge of and proven support of Pfizer Policies and Procedures, Compliance requirements as well as the Medicines Australia Code
  • Valid Driver's Licence

Must-Haves: 

  • Base degree Science, Business or equivalent. Advanced degree a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives and partnerships with external stakeholders and with cross-functional colleagues in a complex matrix structure
