Your role

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Generation of artwork for packaging and/or promotional projects.
• Keep accurate records of packaging and/or promotional projects.
• Answer and investigate any enquiries from internal/external parties.
• Provide input into packaging and/or promotional matters.
• Provide print management for a variety of projects.
• Determine placement of projects with outside services, guaranteeing the best quality and cost-effectiveness in line with corporate policy/culture.
• Attend weekly departmental meetings to discuss the status of jobs in the packaging and/or promotional work areas.
• Ensure that relationships with suppliers are kept to a professional level to guarantee maximum leverage for Pfizer (Perth).
• Ensure filing is up to date, in a retrievable form that is logical and accessible.
• Apply and utilise training skills as identified to meet needs/demands.
• Provide project support within all areas of the Graphics Department.
• Primary Records Management, ie, packaging and/or promotional artwork.
• Implement, design, development, and generation of artwork for packaging and/or promotional projects.
• Maintain personal training needed as indicated by the Site training database.
• Acts on behalf of the Department Manager during absences providing departmental representation to site forums (meetings / IMEx boards).

About you

Here's what Pfizer is looking for in this role:

Must Have

• Degree/Diploma in Graphic Design or equivalent qualifications or on-the-job training/experience.
• Trained in Apple Macintosh environment with a very good working knowledge of graphics programs, Adobe InDesign, QuarkXPress, and Adobe Illustrator.
• Experience in Graphic Design/electronic artwork environments.
• Experience in electronic artwork production and print management utilising Apple Macintosh platforms.
• Experience in project coordination and a team environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience using other Apple Macintosh programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and barcode generation software.
• Extreme accuracy, proofreading skills, and the ability to keep records.
• Experience in ‘Troubleshooting’ within an Apple Macintosh environment.
• Experience in corporate culture, customer-focused environment, and the Pharmaceutical Industry.
• Exposure to the Printing Industry.
