Your role

The Cross-Domain Computing Solutions Department (XC) is responsible for developing Body Computer Modules, Secure Central Gateways and Vehicle Security Products. With capabilities covering end-to-end the complete Development and New Product Introduction process they are managing and implementing global platform projects, tailored for their Original Equipment customers.

Robert Bosch (Australia) Pty Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Undergraduate Student Reliability Test Engineer to join their XC Department.

You will gain valuable experience and knowledge as an integral part of their XC team. Some of the tasks that you will undertake with us include: 

  • Prepare and procure test fixtures, test systems loom suitable for the defined test(s) requirements
  • Document software requirements for testing and implement test cases for execution on test systems
  • Participate In the commissioning of the test systems and/or test set-up
  • Preparation of samples for testing and evaluation
  • Assist in the execution of test programs
  • Write and release test reports, reporting any quality problems identified during the test
  • Assist the supervisor or engineer in the review and publishing of guidelines, work instructions and test specifications
  • Assist in the building of samples and prototypes of electronic control units

About you

You will have excellent attention to detail, have the ability to prioritise tasks to meet tight deadlines, work well with teams and have excellent organisational and communication skills.

To be considered for their Student Program, you are required to meet the following criteria:

  • Be currently enrolled in and completed units towards an Engineering (Electrical/Mechatronics) Undergraduate degree
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of electronic circuit and mechanical design theory
  • Have an understanding of statistical methods and analysis
  • An understanding of CAD tools (AutoCAD, Altium, ProE) and programming languages (C#, C++, Python, Labview) is advantageous
  • Knowledge of the role reliability engineering plays in the product lifecycle is advantageous
