An exciting opportunity to join the Serco team in a Qualified Gardener role. The role requires a Certification in Gardening and/or Landscaping and demonstrated experience in the maintenance of parks, gardens and reserves. You will have ability to complete physical daily work, be a team player and interact with a variety of people from the general public to senior managers.
About the Role
Reporting to the Horticultural Asset Supervisor, you will be responsible for the general maintenance and management of some of Melbourne’s most prestigious and beautiful parks and gardens. You will ensure that all tasks are carried out in a professional and tradesman-like manner and ensuring all contractual defects are recognised/prevented, corrected/reported as required.
For this reason, we are seeking a self-motivated and well-versed Qualified Gardener, with strong problem-solving skills and relevant working experience from a multi-disciplinary background. You will have the ability to work in a team orientated environment and provide the highest level of support to all employees within the business.
6:40am to 3:10pm Monday to Friday – some overtime hours available.

You will have sound problem solving skills with the ability to achieve effective and efficient solutions to challenges and changes and have effective time and workload skills and the ability to prioritise tasks. You will have experience in a previous role and enjoy working individually and sharing your knowledge with members of the public.
