The Role

StewartBrown are looking for a graduate to join our team in 2023! As a graduate auditor, you will be given the opportunity to gain exposure to the provision of audit services in a professional working environment and assist the audit team in the completion of audits across our vast client base.

As a Graduate Auditor, you will develop skills to enable you to:

  • Prepare audit checklists and workpapers
  • Understand the reporting requirements of different types of entities
  • Prepare and review account reconciliations as appropriate
  • Liaise with clients as directed
  • Develop an understanding of client accounting systems
  • Work collaboratively and independently with a highly functioning team

Exposure to these areas will provide invaluable skills and experiences that will form the foundations of a bright future at StewartBrown.

What you can offer StewartBrown

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Completed a degree in Commerce /Accounting in 2022
  • Willingness to apply for the CA/CPA
  • Excellent communication skills (this role will have a client-facing component)
  • Demonstrated fluency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • A work ethic that consistently demonstrates flexibility, adaptability, and logical thinking in your approach to tasks
  • An eagerness to learn and grow within a professional services firm
  • Australian citizenship or residency or legal working entitlements within Australia
  • Proven experience in accounting and/or finance (not essential)
  • Interest in not-for-profits (not essential)
