Accounting Internship - TAFE Students Preferred null

This Internship aims to provide "hands-on" work experience in all facets of public accounting practice.

This will be a full-time position with our firm for the right candidate upon completion of the accounting degree or internship.

We are after a well-rounded candidate with the following attributes:

• Fluent in English
• Be an excellent communicator – Verbal & Written
• Currently completing an Accounting or Business course at University or Tafe
• Impeccable approach to client servicing
• Exceptional presentation skills, determination, and the drive to exceed client’s expectations
• Accounting & Taxation experience would be highly valued but not essential
• Must be an Australian Resident (Permanent/Citizen only)

Your work will include:

• Reconciliation of Xero
• Bookkeeping
• Preparation of Business Activity Statements (BAS)
• Preparation of Income Tax Returns (all types)
• Scheduling client appointments
• Liaise with various statutory authorities on behalf of clients including the ATO and ASIC
• General administration and office support, e.g. filing, copying, scanning, collating, binding etc.
• Updating client database with client-related information
• Some reception duties, meeting and greeting clients, answering phones, answering basic enquiries, redirecting as required.

For the first two weeks, this role is unpaid, after the two weeks, this role will be a paid position.
