Very diverse workplace in all respects. Retention is apparently an issue, with people taking offers from mining companies and contractors offering a higher wage. For engineers apparently there is a cap to progression with limited opportunities for advancement above senior engineer.

They do a lot in the company to try and promote diversity within the business. They have improved the parental leave policies to make it both applicable to both parents. They run events to support women, ethnic minorities and the LGBTIQA+ community too. Most people in the office are open to diversity, however the mindset of some people are not as open.

Our workplace is respectful and inclusive of many diverse individuals. The office has people from different ethnicities, different sexualities and in general, people with diverse perspectives.

Acceptance of different people with different backgrounds is excellent at Western Power. There are regular presentations and also training modules on diversity, inclusion and familiarisation on indigenous culture.

Scholarship programs, works with organisations that provide paid workplace opportunities for persons with less privileged backgrounds.
