All the managers I've worked with during my rotations are very approachable and easy to talk to. They have been great mentors for me, offering valuable advice and support when I needed it. In terms of internal communication, they make sure to keep the lines open, allowing me to express my thoughts and questions. When it comes to performance feedback, they provide constructive insights and often recognize my achievements, which really motivates me to continue growing.

Managers in general scare me. Mine is reasonable and logical, not afraid to just say things which can put me in my place, which I do need.

Managers for my team are extremely busy and can be difficult to get a hold of, I think I spoke literally 10 words to my manager in one of my first weeks working at the company. When you do get time with them, they show great interest in your progression in the grad program and are genuinely concerned with how you're feeling and where you want to go in the company. I have been praised for the work that I have completed so far and while support from the team leaders can be hard to get, by no fault of their own, other people in the team are usually willing to help out (they are also extremely busy, but usually you can find someone). 80% of my communication with my team leader has been brief chats when he walks past my desk on the way to a meeting, 10% is via teams and 10% is via scheduled meeting. I have no doubt that if one of our informal chats exposed issues, I was having in the work place they would immediately set aside time for a one-on-one personal chat no matter how busy they are

Once again this is area dependant. Some areas, it feels the staff are not recognised for their hardwork and even if you had an issue it may not necessarily be resolved. While other areas recognise their staff really well and help to solve issues together.

The managers have been awesome mentors - they're always available to help when I have business related questions but also take the time to show an interest in life outside of the office. They've provided valuable feedback regarding some projects that I've done as well as some good recognition within the team.

In BIDA, I have had fantastic team leaders who do not hesitate to give constructive feedback. They truly are leaders who are supportive, great at communicating, and very active.

Immediate formal leader & area managers are really good. However internal communication issues are had above them at HoF & Exec level. Lack of approachability is a key issues

As a rotating graduate I have a new manager every 6months. I have found some to be more approachable and concerned for graduates than others.

Most direct managers (within the teams I've been through) are quiet busy though other managers are very open to discussion and mentors.
