Western Power is committed to sustainability through initiatives such as integrating renewable energy into the grid, running energy efficiency programs, engaging with local communities on sustainable practices, investing in sustainable infrastructure like smart grid technologies, and implementing biodiversity programs to protect local ecosystems.

"Commitment" feels like all talk, it is the energy sector after all, and coal is still vital. Maybe soon the talks will start to become realised.

More renewable energy in coming years. New projects initiated

Recycling and reuse of old equipment is part of the asset lifecycle and is strictly enforced to reduce impact on unnecessary waste. There are recycling areas that collect old batteries and other items such as empty printer cartridges.

Not sure about this much but it is an electricity company so I'm sure it would have renewable sources of energy / energy storage most likely from solar panels.

Paper recycling, responsible substation waste disposal (oil), green bins in kitchens.

Supporting innovation to reduce environmental footprint. Recycling bins on all floors, compost bins also supported.

Adoption of BeV's & PHeVs (different types of Electric Vehicles), push on green energy solutions

Not aware of specific initiatives for reduced environmental footprint but always a strong focus on being environmentally aware as we operate across the whole state and need to avoid spreading pests/diseases to new areas.

It's in the corporate strategy, however I don't feel it is a priority.

We have recycling bins in the office and a greens bin in the kitchen.
