7.8 rating for Workplace, based on 28 reviews
Please comment on your company's office space, location and facilities. And while we're at it, please tell us a little about the dress code.
Desks are quite large. Offices are good condition. Semi formal dress code, but do not need to wear ties. There are issues with a lack of desk space.

Our company's office is located in a great area with easy access to public transport, making it convenient for employees to commute. The office itself is clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable working environment. We also have a cafe and a patio area where employees can relax and socialize during breaks. There isn't a specific dress code; employees can choose to dress casually or professionally, depending on their preference.

The facilities are modern and well-maintained, providing a comfortable setting for both individual and team work. There are dedicated areas for meetings and collaborative projects, as well as spaces for relaxation and informal interactions. The location of the office is strategically positioned to be accessible, with convenient transport links and amenities nearby. This makes commuting relatively straightforward and helps employees maintain a good work-life balance.

Limited number of desks, When I started, I had to hot desk, which is fine provided the company is setup appropriately to accommodate this arrangement which Western Power is not. Coffee machine in the kitchen is OK Location is OK pretty central in Perth, lots of cafes and pubs nearby. There is an onsite cafe, its alright, coffee is pretty cheap and a better alternative than the coffee from the coffee machines in the kitchen.

The facilities are nice, they have what you would need in an office. However, they need to improve the desk situation in the office, they have more workers than desks and it can make it difficult for some people. While the grads are not permanent in that area, if an area consistently has grads, it is likely we will be the office majority of the time, so it's hard if we don't have a permanent desk. The dress code varies honestly, some people are dressed casually all week while others are dressed in business formal attire. I guess as long as their boss doesn't mind.

The building itself is quite old, with older desks and carpet. However, the office has everything we need to operate efficiently. The dress code is business casual.

There are sufficient facilities compared to the size of the employees. No major changes for the past 4 years or so.

There are two major locations, South Metro Depot (SMD) and the head office in Perth. SMD is a very new office which is well organized and clean. There are many spare desks and pool desk areas to allow for temporary office work if your job role is more remote. Head office in Perth is ok but is an old building. Unfortunately, there are issues with seating arrangements as there are very limited permanent desks and the number of staff are increasing significantly. Work from home arrangements is encouraged and hot desking is very common. Dress code for both offices is quite flexible apart from technical areas such as maintenance and workshops where PPE is compulsory. Smart casual and standard office attire (I rarely see people wearing ties though) is common.

Good facilities that have recently been re-vamped. Dress code is standard business casual when working in the head office and PPE when working at a depot.

Offices are nice enough - not very modern but more than acceptable. Dress code is not very strict - suits are not required. Casual wear on Fridays.

Large personal desk, however the organisation is moving towards desk sharing. At this time it is unknown the specific arrangements. Right near the train station so it's easy to take public transport in. The building & facilities are showing their age... Dress code is smart casual office wear.

Office location in Eastern side of Perth city is rundown and prone to homeless congregations. Internal offices are okay - no hot seating, permanent desk arrangements. Dress code is relaxed - polo shirts are okay.
