Opportunity Expired
WeSupportU’s Disability Support Workers provide support to NDIS participants of all ages to assist them in achieving the goals set out in their NDIS plans. Using a person-centred approach, Disability Support Workers are responsible for providing support, transport, social activities, and care that meets the participant's goals in a positive and encouraging way. The Disability Support Work team is diverse and has access to the organisation’s multidisciplinary teams for advice and supervision.
The shifts include community access, social activities, recreational activities, companionship, and/or mentorship and there is varying shift availability across the week. It may be of interest to students who are seeking more exposure to the disability sector whilst they pursue their studies.
WeSupportU can be very flexible around timetables and student placements etc.
The opportunity is available to applicants in any of the following categories.
