Career Prospects at William Buck

There are lots of promotion opportunities at my firm, the best way to move up the ranks in my opinion is to work hard, stay consistent and bide your time.

Lots of opportunity to get promoted and move up the ladder relatively quickly - given that it is a growing firm, with strong tailwinds and seeking people that want to actively contribute (no matter the level)

There are a large amount of promotion opportunities which mostly revolve around academics early on in your career. Every year or so you receive promotions and once you complete your CA you become a senior accountant

There is a clear progression map from when you start, and this is true for every position. Like most companies you have to be committed and consistent to move up the ladder, but you also won't be waiting 20+ years for a single promotion.

I feel as if there is a clear and consistent path of progression within this company and I know exactly the way I need to go and what's expected of me if I am to progress along this pathway.

In terms of promotion opportunities, while there is a time and certification aspect behind moving onto intermediate and senior levels, the firm seems to reward excellence where it is deserved. I feel that merit is rewarded and that the effort employees put into their work do no go unrecognised or unnoticed.

I have not really had much experience with this as I am still undergrad but I'm sure this will come in the future.

I can tell that leadership at WB really cares about helping junior staff progress their career and move up the ranks, already in the time I have been here I have seen many success stories of people moving up the ranks well.

I am very happy with the clear pathway for my career and pay reviews are done every 6 months so if you work hard you will be rewarded very often

Progressing through the graduate position already and happy with the direction I am headed in.

If you are exceeding expectations and performing well, you will be recognised by those above.

Learn the jobs you are currently working on and be curious on the work the staff at levels above you are working on.

The main reason for choosing William Buck is that I see clear opportunities to progress in this firm.

I hear that promotions usually happen quickly - I've been told I'll go from Graduate to Intermediate within about 1-2 years, so it sounds like it is reasonably fast to move up the hierarchy.

There are clear paths towards promotion should you want to stay here long term as long as you are continuing to grow and develop in your role.

At the early career stages I think they focus on people who put in the effort and who are willing to learn.

For vacationers there is the incentive of being offered a part time role after the program ends, and a graduate role upon completion of my degree. I believe graduate offers will be given to those who display a desire to learn.

You can progress every year but you have to be dedicated.
