The firm offer a lot of training programs that go for 1.5 hours as well as assigning me a buddy/trainer to help with informal training and how to complete jobs.
Undergraduate, Adelaide - 31 Jul 2024
Strong formal training programs where the firm pays and invests in its people. Could probably create a few more frameworks around internal training and its approach to on-the-job training which is currently more a throw you in the deep-end and let you learn that way.

Formally speaking, the training is once a week and another training once a month. They go through the tax updates, preparing workpapers, using xero and preparing financials/returns. Informally, the training is remarkable. I have a team of roughly 15 people and there is not a single person I can't go to, to ask questions about a job and how to complete it. Managers are more than willing to sit with you to explain processes and partners also help as much as they can - despite their busy schedules they always make time for me.

formal training was very poor but informal training i.e. learning from people with in my team was great

I would've like to have been able to stay longer for the grad college when that did occur, however, the training I did do I enjoyed and found relevant to what I needed to know in my role.

There is a lot of training for graduates. We have training through the grad college program, tax trainings and other technical and non technical training run internally by the firm which really helps with getting a grasp on all the information.
Graduate, Melbourne - 19 Jul 2024
Regular training sessions with other people on the same level as me are good as they allows some introduction to specified topics. Although sometimes in can be hard to take the information in if you haven't approached that topic yet, but they repeat the sessions so we can revisit further down the track.

My training was really good when I started as there were no staffing issues at the time. I think some people have struggled with their training after me due to insufficient staff available to help them but that is being fixed and was due to shortages in the labor market (again, mostly outside of WBs control)

Initial training was good. Spent all day for almost the first week sitting with someone else and learning from them instead of through guides. I also attended a graduate college in Sydney to develop my skills which was 100% paid for by the company
