Winter Smiles is a dental practice owned and operated by Dr Eden Winter (Principal Dentist) and his wife, Anne Winter (Practice Manager). Winter Smiles is Eden’s first dental practice and was opened in August 2022. Eden has been working in the Hawthorn area and its surrounding suburbs for over 19 years. Prior to joining Winter Smiles, Anne worked at a boutique law firm, which focused solely and uniquely on the needs of the Australian health, community service and aged care sectors.
At Winter Smiles, our aim is to make high quality dentistry accessible and affordable to all, just like how we would want our family to feel when they visit and get their dental treatment done at the practice.
We are looking for a graduate (or soon to be graduate) who has successfully completed a Certificate III in Dental Assisting to join our growing team.
The role centres on providing chairside assistance to our Principal Dentist, Dr Eden Winter, (including set up for all types of dentistry and cleaning of patient treatment areas after each appointment) and performing dental instrument cleaning and sterilisation. Other duties include carrying out disinfectant procedures in the practice and general cleaning.
There would also be the opportunity to take on additional administrative duties, such as answering the telephone, greeting patients, managing the Principal Dentist’s appointment book, taking payments and liaising with specialists and dental laboratories.
The position is a casual position for hours during the week and on Saturdays with the intention of moving to part-time with the right candidate.

Our Practice is located in Hawthorn, nearby public transport (train and tram) and has some onsite parking and ample parking nearby. Finally, excellent remuneration is available to the right candidate.
