Emma Birch studied Bachelor of Civil Engineering and Bachelor of Science – Geology & Geophysics at the University of Sydney and is now the Head of Asset Management Program Management Office at Hydro Tasmania.
What I love the most about my job is the flexibility around planning your own week – and the travel – I love traveling to different areas of the state, even out of the state, and even just going to different workplaces, doctor’s offices even cafes.
I think when you study to become a CA they teach you to really think outside the box. It's not just about accounting and finance, it's that commercial outlook.

Personally, I’m looking forward to volunteering and creating awareness about digital skills, especially because I want to see more women in technology.
