Headquartered in Melbourne, HVP is among Australia's largest private timber plantation firms. Owned by a blend of Australian, Canadian, and US superannuation and investment funds. Manulife Investment Management's timberland group in Boston oversees management on behalf of investors, with senior representatives also serving on the HVP Board.

HVP's vast estate spans southern Victoria, from Gippsland in the east to the South Australian border in the west, including significant plantations in the northeast. They manage over 240,000 hectares of land, with 165,000 hectares dedicated to pine and eucalypt plantations.

With a workforce of over 700 employees and contractors, HVP supplies over 3 million tonnes of wood annually to local manufacturing industries, including structural timber, fiberboard products, and pulp and paper.

HVP is the steward of approximately 50,000 hectares of native forest, all of which is conserved without harvesting, aligning with their policy and practice.

As a pioneer, HVP was the first plantation company in Australia to achieve third-party certification under the internationally recognized Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) process (FSC-C014387). They are also dual-certified under the Programme for Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) via Responsible Wood.

Beyond timber supply, HVP Plantations is a multifaceted organization, contributing to employment, rural economies, environmental preservation, and community engagement, all while prioritizing the needs of stakeholders.
