About HVP's Gelliondale Nursery: Located in Gippsland, HVP's Gelliondale Nursery is the leading 'state-of-the-art' containerized pine tree plant nursery in Australasia. It plays a crucial role in HVP's sustainable forestry operations, encompassing seed orchards, stool plants, and plant propagation for a vast plantation in Victoria.

The Opportunity:

  • Plan and execute complex work programs within nursery and seed orchard operations.
  • Be an active member of the Nursery and Seed Orchard Team, performing operational duties.
  • Contribute to the development and review of nursery and seed orchard procedures.
  • Research, implement, and trial new growing methods.
  • Conduct trials to evaluate nursery stock performance across HVP's plantation estate.
  • Analyze trial data and report outcomes.
  • Identify safety issues and support OHS management systems.
  • Participate in HVP's fire response program.

Qualifications:

  • Recent or not-so-recent graduate in Horticulture or a related discipline.
