At Leap Exhibits, we have a common goal of being proud of what is put on display.  We have extensive experience in delivering outstanding exhibition stands, unique trade fair displays, POS solutions and pop up activations for our clients Australia wide. 

Primary purpose of role

The primary focus of this role is to assist with the building and installing Leap Exhibits exhibition stands, shop fit out, activations and point of sales solutions in various locations around Australia.

This role will assist with the successful delivery of all jobs by completing task assigned by the production manager.  Tasks include but are not limited to: Bog and Sanding, Painting, creating cut lists and cutting material on various power tools. Completing a pre – build in the factory and final installation onsite are critical components to this role.

The role is an integral part of ensuing the ongoing success of Leap Exhibits 

You will work in the factory preparing stands - also travelling interstate from time to time to erect exhibition stands in Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide. also the Melbourne exhibition centre

Production and Warehouse

 

  • Completing all tasks assigned in line with deadlines.
  • Completing assigned individual job tasks in LMS.
  • Receipt and label the arrival of deliveries at the leap factory.
  • Take measurements and calculate the size and number of materials needed.
  • Create cut lists for production items assigned.
  • Build frames, doors, plinths and raised floors from raw materials or pre-constructed items. 
  • Provide measurements for graphics for all jobs.
  • Maintain a clean factory daily.
  • Ensure caddies and tools are safely stowed daily.
  • Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
  • Read production documents and drawings.
  • Always follow safety guidelines.

Install/Dismantle

  • Complete prebuild for all exhibition stands. 
  • Review on site folder before all events.
  • Travel interstate as required. 
  • Attend and support installs and dismantles. 
  • Support labour hire to ensure they follow assigned tasks. 
  • Facilitate onsite requirements to ensure jobis optimised (find pallets and loading dock, forking in etc) 
  • Ensure stand is packed down effectively, being conscious of next use where applicable. 

Continuous Improvement(ie Systems and processes) 

  • Continually improve and implement cost effective systems and processes.
  • Be a key player in providing ideas and solutions.
  • Make clear recommendations for change with set deliverables and benefits.
  • Introduce measurable reporting (production hours etc) as a means of improving individual and company performance.
  • Provide regular reports on process and staff improvements implemented noting the benefits obtained.
  • Hold post event de brief to discuss improvement opportunities and refine processes and implement findings.
